Outcome goals and graduates' proficiency levels

Each doctoral program and specialization is designed around expected learning outcomes (see Expected Program Outcomes below). End of program performance is determined during the comprehensive exam and dissertation process. Because the work is unique to each learner's dissertation or research topic and the criteria for evaluation are aligned to that work, we do not collect data on proficiency levels for doctoral programs.

  1. Communicate effectively as scholar-practitioners for diverse audiences and purposes through digital, oral, and written formats.
  2. Integrate conceptual analysis with doctoral-level critical thinking to investigate complex business problems.
  3. Apply the use of qualitative and quantitative research techniques using theories, frameworks, and models to address complex business problems.
  4. Incorporate legal, ethical, responsible, and sustainable research and business practices into forward-looking management solutions to problems within communities of interest.
  5. Engage in reflective practice that demonstrates growth in personal and professional thought, behavior, and action by modeling personal accountability, decisiveness, and self-management.
  6. Demonstrate scholar-practitioner knowledge and expertise in both general and specialized ACBSP business domains grounded in current theory, research, and best practices.
